The most dangerous phrase in the language is “we’ve always done it this way”
Rear Admiral Grace Hopper
It’s easy to get complacent and continue on with the way you’ve always done things. Whether it’s in your job, a system you use, or in your personal life, it’s easy to get caught up in a loop of doing the same thing, the same way. It is said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
None of us wants to be the same person we are today, with the same skills we have today, on the day we pass on. Don’t be afraid to enter the slight decline of an initial skill update, as the results speak for themselves once you get over the initial learning curve.
At RPR Trades, one of the pillars we hold ourselves up to is Innovation – Entrepreneurial by nature, we are thirsty for knowledge and new ideas, constantly seeking better ways to deliver great solutions.
We’re constantly questioning and testing the way we do things, the methods we use and the tools we use to get the job done. This leads to innovation at such a high level that we are reaching new and greater heights every month. It also means we’re always looking for new ideas, new programs and new concepts.
We’re in the midst of re-evaluating the way we communicate information to our clients and candidates, looking at a new incident management system, implementing changes to our website structure , working towards a new document control system, updating our safety forms, implementing an EAP for our internal and on-hire employees, evaluating new ways to measure safety, changing our onboarding process for candidates to go paperless, upgrading our systems and employing new outside the box thinkers.
We’ve got a lot on, but it’s all working towards being the best at what we do!
