Meet The Team – Kevin Mankin

Date you started with RPR:  26th of July 2021

Your Role with RPR:  Regional Manager NSW

Kevin’s career:

After completing a Master’s Degree in Business (HR&IR), Kevin pursued a career in recruitment and was soon excelling in the Trades sector, achieving national sales awards with two companies. Kevin made a difficult decision to walk away from a thriving desk and significant bonuses after 4 years, to take on a new challenge and further develop his skills. He moved to a boutique business to manage a Trades Division, however unfortunately his timing was a little off – it was March 2020, and the country was about to shut down due to Covid-19. Kevin was let go after 2 weeks, but undeterred, he resolved to forge a new opportunity, and took on a role at a white-collar boutique business to set up a Trades Division for them, where he was subsequently proud to build a strong and sustainable business.

We were delighted to appoint Kevin to the role of Regional Manager for RPR Trades earlier this year. Although he becomes the youngest member of our Senior Leadership Team, he brings with him a successful track record of recruitment excellence in the local Trades sector, whilst his relationship and service-oriented approach aligns perfectly with the RPR Trades Values. We are genuinely excited with Kevin’s growth plans for the Region, and look forward to helping him achieve his goals.

Fun fact about me –

I have an amateur hobby in property instilled in me since I was in my early twenties. I have been wanting to invest in Brisbane and Melbourne but the market here in Sydney hasn’t settled yet! I’m also an avid sports fan and really in another life should and would have been an average professional football player (Soccer). I played 10 years recreationally mainly within attacking positions and midfield. I recently moved out on my own and have taken a real interest in cooking – my go to dish is a solid Scotch Filet and Chips, but I have been known to cook a tasty pasta too!

What do I like to do outside of work –

Having matured over the years I’ve developed a real taste for travelling, having been to a few countries across Europe and Asia. North America is definitely next on my list when borders start to open. My fitness regime consists of hiking and nothing much else but my favoured locations for a nice walk are Blue Mountains and Central Coast NSW – always good to get some fresh air and get away from the day-to-day grind.
