We’re proud as can be to have taken the White Ribbon Oath this week. During one of our RPR Trades team meetings, we discussed the ways in which we can have an effect on violence against women. We want to send a powerful message that RPR Trades does not stand for violence against women. There is no excuse and the statistics tell us this is a major issue requiring real focus by those working with at risk females, and at risk of offending males.
I will stand up, speak out and act to prevent men’s violence against women. This is my oath.
Did you know one in 3 woman have experienced physical abuse by someone known to them?
Did you know one in five women experience harassment in the workplace?
Is it acceptable that over a 12 month period, on average, one woman is killed every week by a current or former partner?
These statistics are effecting not only those involved, but partners, children, friends, families, workplaces and communities. Violence ruins lives.

We’re encouraging other businesses to consider how they can impact the day to day actions of everyday men and women to bring this issue into light and out of the shadows of shame.
